DIRECTOR, OECD 2024 - September 2025
Provided expertise and trusted advisory services to advance new financial strategies and partnerships to more effectively address rising public challenges in Canada and democracies around the world. This enveloped long standing work as a journalist and comprehensive engagements leading change in social affairs.
2023 - 2024 DIRECTOR, HOCKEY CANADA                    Nationally appointed to the transitional board following Justice Cromwells report in December 2023 to improve Hockey Canada’s practices in governance, accountability, transparency and financial management. 
  
2022-2023 SENIOR ADVISOR, ECDEV Society, Shuswap, B.C.
Reframed the district’s core economic drivers in agriculture, energy, and tourism with new innovations in climate science. 
 
2022 MEDICAL TRAUMA KITS UKRAINE                                    Funded and delivered emergency medical trauma kits to first responders in Ukraine following Russia’s invasion in 2022 navigating complex supply chains. 
2021 DIRECTOR,"Ethical AI", The UN
Led Canada's contributions to the UN's working framework governing AI called "Ethical AI" as the Secretary General recently announced in February 2026. 

2020-2021 DIRECTOR, ADDRESSING FOOD INSECURITY - United Way -
Created and structured a scaleable unique multi-million dollar pilot project  to better address rising food insecurity in Canada at local community levels utilizing innovations including geothermal greenhouses, distinctive field gardens, food transportation and key partnerships. Executed in 4 provinces. Wrote, positioned the funding. Executed the budgets, designs and structures for the next phase involving community based food centres.
                        
2018 - 2021 DIRECTOR, BRIDGING THE DIGITAL DIVIDE Divide          Created/led an integrated series of programs from the ground up to address the gap in science education and the digital divide faced by Indigenous children in reserve based schools. Engaged Indigenous, Federal and 400 post secondary students to deliver the classroom based program. Established 24 world-class partnerships in leading in fields of STEM like MILA, the Canadian Space Agency and others to create qualitative curriculum for students from K-12.  Secured from the ground up $28M in funding- grant by grant. Provided in full to the Regional Indigenous organizations. Reached 200,000 students. Engaged all communities in a month across Eastern Canada. Delivered thousands of new resources like lap tops and set up fully resourced reserve and school based maker labs. Improved Innovation Canada's reporting structures. Improved data gathering in Indigenous communities for Stats Canada. Created an additional online series for the Life Sciences called BACKYARD SCIENCE that interwove Indigenous and Western Science downloaded  hundreds of thousands of time by educators and families across Canada. Hosted 12 province wide events with leading Indigenous scientists, and professionals like Douglas Cardinal. 

2000-2018 CHIEF EXECUTIVE , Marni Fullerton Features, Kingsmere Films, The Need to Know, Almadon Created, developed, produced, licenced, funded ($360M) and marketed 260+ hours of documentary programming broadcast on networks around the world including: NBC, Discovery, CBC,Doordarshan, Canal Plus, ITV, History, ESPN, TSN, CTV, NatGeo, ABC, and various specialty channels. Cracked new emerging markets in documentary series selling on average in 78 markets. Managed 160 staff on a per project basis as well as 12 in-office core staff. Executed all investment, licensing, network contracts, commercial program inventory (30 sec commercials in each show) and corporate responsibilities including overseeing annual audited financial statements. Executed hundreds of marketing campaigns as each program had it's own.  Created distinctive policy levers for the Canadian industry including the structures for the Federal Tax Credit, that grew the industry from $200M to a $7B industry by 2011. Advanced licensing agreements for co-productions and innovated program genres and content across platforms winning the Bell New Media Award amongst others.

2009-2012 CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER - FSS Inc.- (Fingerprint Security Software) Executed the competitive positioning, corporate planning and investment attraction to develop new Fintech software focused on reducing IP theft in the entertainment and life science sectors. Attracted $286M in capital investment. Rolled out and quickly adopted in the US.

2020 DIRECTOR, COVID Reserve Based Emergency Medical Supplies Managed, imported and delivered emergency medical supplies to all reserve based Health Centers and those out West battling outbreaks of COVID in alignment with certification from Health Canada. 
2017 SENIOR ADVISOR CANADIAN RED CROSS                                           Updated their training materials, research and communications  for “Walking the Prevention Circle” focused on Northern isolated rural communities. Also ghost wrote a book for a Canadian volunteer/Global Affairs working in some of the world's largest, recent natural disasters including the 2004 Tsunami.
2013 SENIOR ADVISOR, GLOBAL FOOD CENTRE                              Executed the strategic planning documents, communication strategies and connectivity to help launch the Global Food Centre for the University of Saskatchewan as it was being established.
                                                  
2012 DIRECTOR, INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PROGRAM                  Led a successful multifaceted export driven program for a non-profit agricultural organization in Saskatchewan focused on cracking new international markets for SME's. Successfully attracting 150 key Chief Executives from around the world to meet Canadian agricultural producers and innovators and purchase $160M in goods. Led all external marketing, positioning and communications planning. Worked with Global Affairs offices around the world. As well as with key experts in GATT and other areas of trade. Trained staff in critical areas of due diligence. Executed the programs final report.
2011 ACTING VP, TOURISM & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT                Executed a new economic and cultural framework to advance tourism development for the Western regional economic development commission. 

 

2009 DIRECTOR, National Water Policy Conference                            Engaged 3200 top scientists and policy makers to come to Canada and ignite new policy discussions on how Canada can best protect and manage our freshwater resources. Canada holds the largest freshwater deposits in the world.

2009 - 2010 DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC ADVISOR, INNOVATION BC          Led the development of a new economic development policy to competitively position and advance SME's working in advanced research and applied areas of climate science. Focused primarily on energy, water, housing and agriculture. Led federal, corporate, private sector and government-wide meetings to achieve broader policy objectives and drive coordinated efforts. Managed and trained a staff of 12 end-to-end. Executed the final report for the premier.
2008-2011 CULTURAL ADVISOR: ALBERTA & MANITOBA                            Executed various cultural roadmaps and strategies to better position the provinces cultural industries and attract greater philanthropic support and investment. Attracted $120M in philanthropic investment supporting new creative ventures.

 

2007-2008 DIRECTOR, “THE SLATE FUND” BC FILM                        Led, managed and adjudicated a distinctive public investment program with a budget of $150M focused on expanding the province’s domestically owned film, gaming and entertainment industry. Led the creative, corporate and financial due diligence on all applicants delivering final recommendations to the province and Board Chair.       

2008, SENIOR ADVISOR, UNESCO 

Engaged to improve outreach efforts and communications to local communities in Africa focused on education in challenging areas of resource depletion. Including fishing, agriculture, forestry. In addition to socio-economic climate impacts from drought, desertification, water shortages, increasing poverty and food insecurity . Worked in alignment with key NGO's scientists and experts as well as non-profits working in key areas of assistance, emergency relief and local innovations.

2006 SENIOR ADVISOR, APTN - ABORIGINAL PEOPLES TELEVISION NETWORK Mentored senior staff in contract law and production. Launched the networks first feature film “SKINS’ starring Graham Greene and other leading Indigenous actors. Completed the strategic planning for international distribution of the channels programs .This advisory engagement followed earlier work building the business case successfully with hard data to secure APTN’s initial Federal broadcast license. 


MARKETING/COMMUNICATIONS INTERNATIONAL

CREATIVE CAMPAIGN DIRECTOR, FUJI, PANASONIC, TOURISM CANADA Led the key creative for FUJI's Quicksnap cameras.  Beat Kodak sales by 146%. Led innovation camera uses including at the Olympic to grow Panasonic;s new professional camera lines like the fingercam. 

 

CANADIAN TOURISM COMMISSION Created the new strategic framework to rebrand Canada internationally  highlighting Canada's unique culture, geography and natural wonders coast-to-coast. Increased international visitation immediately upon the launch of the campaign by over 442% within the first quarter.

STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING DIRECTOR      Following outreach from the great Carl Sagan was hired to create, lead and build collaborations to celebrate the scientific efforts involved to launch the International Space Station. Engaged the top researchers, space agencies like Nasa, the CSA and others as well as governments, scientists, astronauts and aerospace corporations around the world to coordinate marketing and communication strategies. Produced in 7 languages it involved every medium, including the production of a 26 part documentary series for Discovery and  IMAX. In alignment with brilliant young Canadian gamers created the first online platform for personal computers that allowed scientists to work live in real time that subsequently became the platform for Microsoft and ZOOM. With Chris Hatfield manning things at Cape Canaveral, astronaut Julie Payette was Canada's featured astronaut.

EVENT MANAGEMENT, Nicolas Hoare Bookstores                              Led high profile book launches in the nations capital for Canada's largest independent bookstore (Nicolas Hoare) featuring prime ministers like Paul Martin, Cabinet Ministers like Lloyd Axworthy, leading journalists, iconoclastic non-fiction authors and thought leaders.
