My Century

More people today are living to be hundred than ever before. This documentary series explores the lives, the science and the future of human aging.

SHIFT

Natural disasters are increasing around the world. One the worst in Canada occurred a decade after the Gold Rush when two American entrepreneurs set out to capitalize on the rich coals seams in southeast Alberta. Ignoring the warnings of many including Indigenous Elders that the location of the new town was precarious as was their pace mining the coal. Until tragedy stuck and the mountain collapsed killing everyone in the town resulting in the worst recorded rock slide in North America.

The Need To Know

Following the Paul Bernardo trial, this groundbreaking documentary explored the role of the media and the ethical quandaries journalists faced in covering it. Most recently in 2023 our footage was utilized in the recent Netflix film starring Ryan Gosling.

Starting my first company with 3 children, and $100 dollars I juggled life as a working mother so I hit the road creating the first off the beaten path family travel series off featuring every province and territory of Canada as well as international destinations. Producing 39 episodes it sold around the world airing in 78 international markets and recently was rebroadcast by The Canadian Media Fund celebrating the best of Canadian programming. Telling the life story of one of the most powerful but forgotten women of the 20th century - Gertrude Bell. A women who in service to the British empire redrew the map of the Middle East creating the modern day nation of Iraq. The boundaries she drew and the politics she set in motion continue to reverberate throughout the Middle East and around the world today.

Leading the launch of APTN's first film "Skins" this critically acclaimed feature directed by Chris Eyre with Graham Greene, Eric Schweig and Tantoo Cardinal amongst great Indigenous actors captures the tensions of so many families struggling on Canadian reserves today.

Lifespace

This 26 part series produced in 7 languages hosted by astronauts aired around the world on DISCOVERY and IMAX. Highlighting the collaborations of scientists, government agencies like NASA, companies like MDA and others around the world it celebrated the launch of the ISS. The first multi-media series to utilize all mediums and platforms it aired around the world winning numerous science awards including - The Bell New Media Award here in Canada.

NINE MONTHS TO LIFE

This documentary examined the plight of incarcerated pregnant women forced to give up their children after giving birth. Filmed in prisons in Portage La Prairie and Kingston Pen and broadcast on the CBC's channel Newsworld.

GONE VIRAL - The Series

These are not keyboard playing cats or reality show rejects but truly talented artists who despite the odds achieved global success online not just by manipulated algorithums but by talent, luck and incredibly savvy social marketing skills.

This documentary program delved into the last public hanging in Canada that took place in the world's largest Nazi internment camp outside Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Sports Programming

Producing over 60 hours of award winning sports documentaries such as Overtime, Beirut United, The History of the CFL and The History of The Stanley Cup, these programs broadcast nationally and internationally on networks including; ESPN, CBS,TSN, CTV, Newsworld and the CBC. Through permanent installations, historical documentaries covering the history of the Stanley Cup and The CFL can still be viewed as The Hockey and CFL's Hall of Fame.
